About Slyder Consulting Group

We built the MSP we wished existed when we were on the other side of the table.

Slyder Consulting Group is a US-based, remote-first managed IT, cybersecurity, and Virtual CIO firm. We support clients from one-user independent operators to multi-state warranty administrators handling thousands of claims. The same delivery model. The same modern security stack. The same predictable engagement.

Why we started Slyder.

Every founding team in this industry tells some version of the same origin story: "the MSPs we dealt with as customers were frustrating, so we built one that wasn't." Ours is honestly that story. After enough years on the buyer side — receiving surprise invoices, watching tickets sit, getting quarterly business reviews that were 90% slideshow and 10% substance — the gap between what an MSP should be and what most of them actually deliver became impossible to ignore.

We started Slyder Consulting Group to deliver three things we consistently couldn't find as buyers:

  • Predictability. One monthly engagement. Scope in writing. No surprise invoices.
  • Strategic thinking. A real vCIO conversation, not a quarterly status update wrapped in a deck.
  • Modern tooling. The same security stack a serious mid-market firm runs — at SMB scale.

Our clients today span exactly the range that proves the model works: from independent operators running short-term rentals to multi-state warranty administrators with hundreds of users and serious compliance exposure. One service model. One delivery team. One way of working.

How we work — three operating principles

You can tell what a company actually cares about by watching what they do under pressure, not what they put on the homepage. These are the principles that shape every Slyder engagement.

1. Write it down.

Scope, SLAs, deliverables, and pricing live in writing before work begins. If we promised something verbally and didn't document it, treat the documented version as authoritative — and tell us so we can fix the documentation.

2. Tell the truth on the timeline.

If we're going to be late, we say so before the deadline, not after. If we don't know the answer, we say so. If we made a mistake, we own it. The cost of honesty is short-term discomfort; the cost of cover-ups is the relationship.

3. We don't sell what you don't need.

Most of the upsell pressure in MSP-land comes from vendors with quotas, not from clients with problems. We don't have quotas. If you don't need Gold tier, we'll tell you. If you don't need an MSP at all yet, we'll tell you that too — and refer you to where you should be.

The technology behind the service.

Tooling matters. The MSP industry is full of providers running 15-year-old stacks because that's what they've always used. We made deliberate choices about what to deploy and run — and we're transparent about them because nothing here is proprietary magic.

  • NinjaOne — Remote monitoring, management, and patching across endpoints. Modern UI, fast deployment, strong automation.
  • EDR + MDR — Endpoint detection layered with managed detection and response from a 24/7 security operations center.
  • Microsoft 365, Azure & AWS — We work across all three primary cloud platforms. Microsoft 365 for productivity, Azure or AWS for infrastructure based on what fits the workload. We support Google Workspace clients too.
  • Cloud-native backup — Immutable, tested, and documented backup with regular restoration verification.
  • Identity-first security — MFA, conditional access, privileged identity management as the foundation, not an add-on.
  • n8n — Open-source workflow automation platform we use to orchestrate the business processes we automate for clients. Self-hostable so your data doesn't have to live in a third-party SaaS.
  • Anthropic Claude — The AI model we reach for most often. Used inside automated workflows to classify, summarize, extract, and reason over business data. Connected via the Anthropic API with commercial data terms.
  • Claude Code — Anthropic's agentic coding tool. We use it internally to accelerate every engineering engagement — the output is your code in your repo, not a black-box deliverable.

Why we mention specific vendors: because vendors matter, and any MSP who refuses to tell you what tooling they run is either insecure about it or hiding licensing inefficiency. We're neither. Ask us anything about the stack on a call.

Where we're based — and why that matters less than it used to.

Slyder Consulting Group is based in Cleveland, Ohio. That's where the business is registered and where our administrative operations sit. But here's the honest version: a registered address mattered more in 2005 than it does in 2026.

We deliver remotely. Our clients are spread across North America and internationally. We've supported a single-user short-term rental host in one state and a multi-state warranty administrator with hundreds of users in another, in the same week, with the same delivery model.

If you want to meet in person to evaluate us before signing — we're open to it, anywhere reasonable. We've found most clients prefer the discovery call format: 20 minutes, on video, no pressure, you learn how we actually think.

Let's talk for 20 minutes.

No sales pitch. No pressure. Just a real conversation about whether we're the right fit.
